The Surprise I didn’t know was coming
Twenty years ago, I said yes because I loved being a stay-at-home mom and I wanted flexibility to continue to homeschool my five children. The jewelry seemed like a fun vehicle to help me do that.
That’s it. No master plan. No five-year vision. I wasn’t looking for a “business.” I was looking for something fun, something flexible, something that allowed me to continue raising my children and homeschool them. I was basically looking for extra money for the ice cream lady and clothes when the kids needed them. Ok, maybe a little grown-up time too.
What I Thought I Was Joining
I thought I was signing up to share cute, affordable jewelry with people who loved a little sparkle—just like I did.
I assumed it would be:
- Occasional
- Casual
- Hopefully the extra fun money I was looking for.
And honestly? I figured I’d try it and see what happened.
The Part No One Explained
What surprised me wasn’t sales or parties or income.
It was how much I could do with this little fun enterprise.
This business didn’t ask me to become someone else. It didn’t demand perfect timing or a certain personality. It fit around real life—busy seasons, quieter seasons, changing priorities. I could learn at my own pace, and I could be with my family for important things, which was my priority. I learned to control my own calendar.
I could lean in when I wanted to. I could pull back when I needed to. And it was still there. But I could do what I wanted to do for us!
That part caught me off guard—in the best way.
Why This Might Matter to You
If you’re someone who:
- Loves jewelry but doesn’t love pressure
- Wants flexibility without giving up quality
- Enjoys connecting with people but on your own terms
- Wants to know that the company training is there to teach you what you need to know
This might surprise you too.
You don’t have to be loud. You don’t have to be salesy. You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to be curious.
A Gentle Invitation
I share this because I know there are women who feel that little tug of “hmm… what if?”
If that’s you, I’d love to connect. No pressure. No pitch. Just a conversation.
